Boris The Sailor

So, managed to get a peek inside Pete Townshend’s boat studio.  It’s being refitted and so there was no equipment inside but as marvel of engineering it is well impressive.  Bigger than many landlubber studios it boast a spacious control room, a wood panelled live room,

and an iso booth for those really serious drum solos.

There is a skylight covered with a perspex panel so natural light gets in and serious soundproofing, lead sarnie doors and a room within the hull.  You could host Lollapalooza on board and none of the other gin palaces would even know.  It is due to set sail for France soon, recording as it goes.  Now all I need to do is get a grappling hook on Dave Gilmour’s studio boat and my fleet will be taking shape, hah harrr, shiver me timbers, it be a fine life etc etc
